Leah: Science Fair

Leah's class was required to participate in the first Science Fair at Robinson.  She knew right away that she wanted to do something on rainbows.  She did a lot of research and came up with a good diagram project, How Are Rainbows Formed?  It was nice to go see all of the other projects and she was really proud of the good work she did.  We also saw her Reflections art project while we were there too.

Leah: Patriotic Performance

We love the 3rd grade Patriotic Performance!  Since Leah is in a 2nd/3rd grade combo class she got to participate this year.  She had multiple lines throughout the performance and did a great job memorizing and delivering her lines with gusto.  She was pretty cute up on the stage and then sang her heart out with the chorus.  Yesterday I asked her if she was ready with her lines and delivery for the show and she said, "Mom, I was born ready." Great job, Leah!

A couple of videos of her parts:

February Swim

We had a couple of warm days so we took advantage and went down to the pool.  Unfortunately it was not heated so we spent most of the afternoon in the hot tub.  The girls got brave and went in the frigid water.  Andrew loved the "hot pool".

California Missions

In 4th grade Ava is learning California history. She is deep into her big California Mission project, a pop-up book. We chose a mission that was close enough to visit for her project and last weekend we enjoyed the behind the scenes tour at Mission San Luis Rey de Francia in Oceanside.  It was interesting to learn more about California's history and see the inside of the mission and church.  We enjoyed seeing the oldest pepper tree in California, which was huge

Ava's 4th grade class went on a field trip to San Juan Capistrano Mission. Thankful to friend's parents for sending pictures throughout the day. One day I will have to visit this mission also, since it is so close!

Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance

The girls and Eric went to the annual Daddy Daughter Dance with Robinson Elementary. Every year the girls look forward to this night out with Eric. They like getting dressed up and staying out late with their friends.  They first went to dinner with friends (Brewsters, Koellikers, and Gillies) at Tutto Fresco in their new location. The dance was at the Coto Valley Country Club.  They had a chocolate fountain, photo booth, a great DJ with props, and they made a hand print craft.  It is always above and beyond from our friends in the PTA.  I am glad they had such a fun time!
