We love going to the Orange County Fair. It's always hot, sweaty, and FUN! This year it got a little more interesting with the girls being tall enough for a lot of the big kid rides and they became more interested in the carnival games. We picked out a game that the girls could win a big Shopkins prize...and they did! Yay! Andrew spent most of his time in the stroller but he did like seeing all of the farm animals. The girls finished off the night with ice cream cones. It was a great day!

The girls had two weeks of camps in July. The first was Top Chef Camp at the Bell Tower with their friend, Margo. They learned how to make different dishes and how to follow a recipe. They made strawberry stuffed french toast, sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, homemade marinara and meatballs with spaghetti, and carne asada tacos. I got to try the food when I picked them up and we got to take home leftovers to Eric. The girls were adventurous, especially Ava, with trying the new foods and liking some of it! The last day of the week they cooked for guests. Eric, Meredith, and Bill joined me and Andrew to sample some of their tacos and brownies. The girls loved learning at this camp.

Happy 14 years to us! This was such a great day so long ago. We celebrated with a date night dinner out at Canyon Fireside Grill and getting my ring polished and sized. It felt so good to have it back on. The girls got to try on their favorite pieces of jewelry while we were picking it up.

We had a fun couple of weeks with the Bates in town! They know how to party it up and we did so almost every day. We made sure to get a picture of all the boys together since we always have so many of the girls. Turned out pretty cute.
One night we did sparklers since we didn't get a chance do them on the 4th.
We had a lot of beach days! We went to Aliso Creek, Stands, and Newport a couple of times. Newport was a favorite for the boogie boarding. We got totally washed out at Aliso Creek one afternoon. Eric got buried in the sand and Rachael and I even went boogie boarding. We ended our Saturday beach days at Baja and it was a perfect ending. We had some good days.
More pool days too! We went to the Coto Valley Country Club a few times and the Altisima pool. I was fun to have the girls in their different matching suits. They loved the big water slide. Even Rachael and Brennan took turns going down. Andrew is warming up to the pool idea and may even be enjoying himself. I have been in the water more than I ever have. The Bates brought their big flamingo and doughnut floats and they were a hit with all of the kids.
One evening we got to hang out with the De Primas who were in town for a night. We were loving those baby girls. The twins are so adorable and growing up too fast. Andrew and Oliver were so cute together! They kept hugging each other. Andrew was loving having someone exactly his size around. It was so cute!
We had a great time. Come back soon!
