Easter Festivities

During the week before Easter we went to South Coast Plaza to visit the Easter Bunny.  We have never seen this bunny before and he was kind of interesting.  It was an interactive/talking/animatronic bunny.   Kind of freaky.  We also went on the carousel.  I love how they change the horses to bunnies for the spring time.

On Saturday we went to the Kaleidoscope and the kids got to pet some farm animals - Ava was really excited to hold a bunny.  That night we dyed Easter eggs which is always a good time.

The Easter bunny came!

On Easter Sunday we attended church.  The Primary kids sang in Sacrament meeting.  Raechal Carron brought over some of her famous sugar cookies.  The decorations are amazing!  Later we went to Eric's parents house for dinner and we had a fun egg hunt.  The kids had more than their fair share of eggs to hunt for.  Meredith and Eric hid the eggs and they always pride themselves in finding the best spot.  This year Eric got it up on the window sill of the second story.  Ava tried hard but that one will be there for a while.

Ava: Spring Park Day

Ava's class had a spring park day with the Special Ed classes.  They had lunch, did fun relay races, and had an egg hunt.  I love seeing them all work so well with their Special Buddies.  I was glad to have some time with Ava!  It was a fun afternoon.

Road Show

We attended Road Show this weekend and we all loved it. The theme was "Once Upon a Happily Ever After".  It was great to see all of our friends and family that were involved including Karen, Jeremy, Bryan, and our whole ward. We love Live Oak's adaptation of Star Wars. Our girls are counting the days to be on the stage with them.

St. Patrick's Day

St Patrick's Day is always low key but the girls were excited about their treat cereal and shamrock earrings from the Leprechauns.  The kids looked adorable in their green!

Report Cards

Both of our girls have consistently been good students. Leah is learning so much. She is becoming a confident reader and speller. She is great at her math facts. Mrs Montoya said she is a good help, volunteer, and friend. She earned the Respect award in her class which makes us really proud. Ava is reading above and beyond expectations. She is doing great in all areas and is a very well-rounded student. She made the Principal's Honor Roll again this semester. I can't believe they are 2/3's through 1st and 3rd grade!
