Rich's 60th

We celebrated Rich's 60th birthday on Sunday! It was fun to have the Bates, Heather and Michael, and Adrian here to celebrate with him! I love this poster that Camille made!  I wish we would have gotten better pictures and especially a group shot.

Cute Mandi and Eric!

Roger's Gardens Halloween

After choir and dinner on Thursday, we decided to check out Roger's Gardens and see their Halloween displays. They have awesome decorations and pumpkins everywhere. It is such a magical nursery. The girls liked exploring the grounds.

Day Off

Eric took Wednesday off work after the September 15th deadline was over.  We did the usual school drop off and then we were on our own!  We had no kids and decided to take advantage and go on a day date.  We went to Original Pancake House and enjoyed spending the morning together.

After Ava was done with school we took them bowling!  Ever since Radlee's birthday party they have been wanting to go bowling again with us.  It was a lot of fun!

That evening Eric and I were on our own again while we went to Back to School Night!  It was great to meet Ava's teacher and hear what great things they have planned for this year.

First Time Bowling

Ava was invited to Radlee's birthday party and it was a bowling party!  She was so excited to try it.  She thought that the shoes were pretty funny too.

The three girls were cheering each other on the whole time and helping Leah learn how to roll the ball.  Meanwhile the boys were play fighting and going crazy.

In the end Ava scored a 74...with the bumpers up. Both girls want to go bowling again soon!

Happy Birthday, Radlee! Thanks for inviting Ava to your party!

Back to Preschool!

Since Ava has started school, Leah has enjoyed some mom time. She likes the one-on-one time together but is always asking when Ava will be home. The new earlier schedule takes a little getting used to, plus we are walking to and from school everyday.  Leah fell asleep in the car at 11am the other day.  Tired kids.

On Friday, we realized it was kind of like her last day of summer since school starts Monday. Anna and Leah will be on opposite days at preschool and won't get to play as often so we got them together at the beach club. They had a fun day playing together.

On Monday we headed to preschool for Orientation...Meet the Teacher...etc.  Leah was looking forward to seeing some old friends and her teachers again.  It was cute to see her getting right back into it all and she was happy to be back.  Hopefully drop off goes just as well on Wednesday!

Finally the first day came, September 18th! Possibly the last ones to start school in all of America.  She was super happy to get going to school in the morning even though she gave me these semi-fake smiles for pictures at the house.

Leah loves having so many friends in her class. She was a sweet friend to Gavin who was sad to leave his mom. She stood by him and held his hand in line. Poor Gavin looks like a deer in headlights. First time I haven't see that boy with a smile on his face.  Hopefully Friday will be a little easier for him. Leah went right in and was happy to see me after school was done. It was a great first day for her!

Leah's Goal!

Today was Leah's second soccer game and she seemed to understand way better what she was supposed to do.  She was right in there the whole time.  She never took a break and knew where to take the ball and how to stop it and turn it around.  She did really good.  I think our girls scored about 9 goals in this game.  They did great!  Leah is #2.

Leah scored her first goal!

At one point Leah got tangled up with another girl and ended up falling down.  It was sad but she jumped up and got right back into the game.  She was always right with the ball.  She played hard!

The girls love the team huddles and running through the tunnel of parents after the game!

Ava was there cheering her on!
