The Flaming Lips

Eric, Meredith, and I went to The Flaming Lips concert on Wednesday night. When we picked up Mere we saw that we were twinners!

They played with The Growlers in the Pacific Amphitheater on the fair grounds. The show was pretty rad. Great lights and confetti.  It was reallly fun to be back at a concert.  It has been a while.

Afterward when we were walking out we noticed the tour buses and decided to wait to see if Wayne Coyne would come out so we could meet him.  He asked the few fans to wait for a minute while he changed his clothes and then he came out for autographs and pictures.  He was a super nice guy and spent a lot of time chatting with the fans and taking pictures with us.  It was a fun way to end our night out on the town!

Spike at the Park

We love it when Spike follows us to the park. He is such a rad little cat buddy.

Other Daily Pics

The fun with cousins has continued since the Millers and Smiths are in town. Even when we aren't hanging out with them we are still at the pool with the Eisenbises or other friends! It's been a busy/fun day everyday this summer...non-stop!

Crescent Bay, Laguna Beach!  The girls loved being out in the waves.

These two sisters have been together 24/7 this summer.  Their patience with each other is wearing thin lately.  One week after getting ready for church they were so excited that they were wearing similar dresses and made a pact since they were matching to not fight all day.  I'd say that was a pretty good pact!  Win, win.

We are still trying to make time for friends in the mix with all of this.  We managed to get out on a date night with a bunch of couples from the ward.  So many great people!

We went to our cute neighbor's, Dezi, 2nd birthday party.  It was Rapunzel themed and Scott showed up dressed as Flynn Ryder.  Haha!  The girls were star struck!

We went to lunch with Eric. The girls love their daddy!

I took the girls to the library for a music program and they ended up learning about African drumming and they all got individual drums to practice different beats on.

Leah made a little bed on the floor and when I checked on her at night she was so peaceful and sweet.

Cousins in stripes!

Sister in law night at Yogurtland!

Pretend City

Today we headed to Pretend City today with the Eisenbises and Smith girls.  The kids had so much fun pretending and dancing and being "managers" handing out pretend money for good deeds to other kids.

They made the restaurant into a Wahoo's facade and the kids loved taking orders, making food and cleaning up in there.  They were pretty cute.

They also really liked the Art Room and enjoyed painting, playdough, and crafting.

Another fun day!

11 Years!

Eric and I celebrated 11 years of marital bliss! We love looking at these old photo booth stips from our engagement pictures...especially the one where Eric is eating my face.

We celebrated simple this year with dinner and a movie (and ice cream cake).  It is tough to beat Hawaii last year but I enjoy every little moment of alone time with this guy.

Oh, and still eating fries with a fork.

Happy Anniversary, Eric!  I love you, mucho.

OC Fair 2013

Every year we look forward to the OC Fair. The girls love it! We went on a donation night and turned in book reports to receive free admission and free carnival rides. We had lots of cousins join us since the Smiths and Millers are in town! We even ran into Wendi and her kids there too.

We watched the little family circus group.  It was cool to see the magic and the juggling.

The Peking Acrobats are always a favorite.  They are so amazing!

The girls loved having their cousins there to go on all the rides!

The animals and petting zoo are always a highlight too until the deer try to eat your dress then you are ready to go.

You can't leave without having some cotton candy.

Always a great time at the fair!
