Pumpkin Patch

This is sort of Pumpkin Patch picture overload but the kids were having such a fun time. We had these coupons for free tickets but Jeremy and Ava were the only ones that could go on the rides so they were living it up! I don't know if Ava's face could get any happier seeming in these pictures. Jeremy was a good sport going on all of the rides with Ava, he even let her press the gas pedal on the tractor ride.

Leah went on a 25 cent ride. I couldn't tell if she liked it or not.
She looks a little nervous.

Our group shot.
Cindy was home feeling sick, we missed Gram!

Pictures with pumpkins.

The quintessential ruler pictures. Leah would not stand next to the sign. She was being so funny running away from the camera.

We ended the night with some dancing on the stage.

We love the pumpkin patch.
As we were leaving Ava asked, "Can we come again next year for Halloween?" Yes we can.

We celebrated Wendi's birthday on Sunday. It is so much fun having more cousins living close by! Happy Birthday, Wendi!

Taste of Rancho

Today Ava's gymnastic squad performed at Taste of Rancho. It was chilly and dreary out but thankfully the rain stayed away. It was fun to see other friends there from past classes and three of Ava's church friends were on the dance performance team.

The girls had to wait a while to start the performance.

Ava is on the youngest squad.
The girls were cute and basically just did somersaults and frog jumps.

And the big finish.

After the performance we went over to the bounce houses. Ava went up and down the slides and obstacle courses a million times.

Leah was there too!

It was a fun little event.

Day with Dad

Eric took today off of work. It was lovely to have him at home after a long busy season. He got to take Ava to preschool and meet her teachers and then pick her up. She was so happy to see him after school. From school we went straight to Ava's favorite lunch spot, Chipotle, and then off to Disneyland. It's nice going there with an extra adult. Eric was able to take her on Matterhorn and to see Captain EO. We're all happy that we got to spend the day with Dad doing our favorite things!

Rainy Days

It has been really rainy here. We don't typically have so much rain, at least not until winter time. October is usually a heat wave. It's nice to see a change in climate though, it's ringing in fall quite nicely. I just really hope it doesn't rain for Halloween next weekend. Yesterday Leah was loving snuggling up in her blanket and little hoodie. I couldn't help but take a picture of her when I turned around and saw her little smiling face.

While Leah was taking a nap and the rain was still coming down, I decided to "whip up" a project and the Circle Skirt Tutorial from Dana's MADE blog was the project of choice. Don't look too closely, it's full of imperfections but Ava loved her skirt and wanted to spin and spin just like Lucy in Dana's pictures.

Fall Field Trip

Ava's preschool took a field trip to Tanaka Farm. She was so excited to go again this year.

Ava loved the petting zoo. The girls fell in love with this little goat.

(Ava, Alyssa, Alexis)

Class Picture with her teachers, Ms Karen and Ms Mary
Unfortunately only half of the class came to the farm.

They took a wagon ride and went through the corn maze.
Ava loved being the leader, deciding which way to go in the maze.

She picked her own vegetables - carrots, radishes, onions, and green beans.

And finally she got to choose her own pumpkin. If they could carry it, they could take it. Ava searched for the perfect pumpkin.

We finished up the morning by climbing the big pile of pumpkins.

I love that I was able to go along on the field trip, it's fun to go to the farm.
