Mister Bunny

On Saturday, after Eric got off of work, we took Ava to Fashion Island to see the Easter Bunny. She was SO excited all day long and as soon as Eric walked in the door she said, "Ok, let's go see mister bunny!" That's right, she says Mister instead of Easter. She loved the bunny. She sat on his lap and she smiled for the camera! This is a huge accomplishment since last year she bawled her eyes out. I wish I had the whole experience on video because she was so cute and so happy.

Here is Ava waving good bye to the Bunny.

Afterward we went and looked at the fish in the Koi Pond and watched the fountain.

Ava loved being surprised by the water in the fountain shooting in the air.
Here is a little video of her and Eric watching together.
I love that she ends up holding his hand in the middle.

Fun family evening!
I can't wait until after tax season when we get to do this kind of stuff together more often.

26 Weeks Pregnant

I have been receiving some requests for the profile belly shot. Over the last couple of weeks I really feel like the baby belly has popped out. So, here I am 26 weeks along...only three more months to go!

If you're curious what I looked like at this point with Ava you can look back at this post of Mark's wedding. At the bottom there is a 26 week picture. I am a little embarrassed because I am much bigger now! Yikes!

Fun Weeks

We've loved having so many visitors in town. This week will be boring without you here!

TeWinkle Park got another couple of visits from us. I really do like that park a lot and so do the kids. Here is a picture of Carter, Savanna, and Ava feeding the ducks.

After the park we drove back to Huntington and went to the beach. Cater and Ava loved the water. They were both soaked by the time we left. After a fun, long day we ended it at Ruby's on the pier.

We went to Sunday dinner at Eric's parents house. Saunja and her kids were in town for spring break and it was Saunja's birthday too. So, we had dinner, a little party, cake, dancing, Rock Band, and a pool tournament. Of course, there was a the group shot around the cake too.

On Monday, after going to the park with the Carlsons, Ava and I went to Centennial Farm to see the animals. There was a baby black sheep that was only 5 days old. Ava and I both were in love. She kept calling to it, "Come here baby sheep!" He eventually came over to her she got to pet him. A few minutes later the lady came in the pen and bottle fed it. It was really a cute experience.

On Wednesday, we went to Balboa with Cindy, the Carlsons, and the Willards (minus working husbands). We rode the ferry and spent the rest of the afternoon playing on the beach. Ava loved Liesl and so did I! Thanks for being such a great helper with Ava while you were here!

I didn't get to take too many pictures but maybe I can snag some from other blogs later.

Another Noah's Ark Trip

With Rachael in town with her kids, Dana organized another trip to LA to the Noah's Ark exhibit at the Skirball. Ava loves playing with her cousins.

After we finished inside we let the kids play outside on the amphitheater stairs and in the mist.

Of course, Dana's camera captured some really cute pictures!

Fun trip to LA but WAY too much traffic on the way home.
Thanks for driving Rachael, sorry it was stressful!

AZ Trip

Ava and I spent this last week in Arizona with the Bates family. Eric is so busy with work that we decided to get out of town and hang out with some cousins for a bit. We flew over on Sunday night. It was Ava's first time with her own seat. We drove back in Rachael's car with her kids yesterday. They have spring break this upcoming week so they are going to play in California. I am so glad that it worked out to go to Arizona. The Bates were great hosts and Ava loves playing with Carter and Savanna. We went to a lot of kid friendly places and let them play a lot while we were able to hang out. I wasn't a good picture taker on this trip since I was on my own but here is a little recap.

We went to the Phoenix Zoo and the highlight of the trip was the tiger. He was out pacing around and even growling. The kiddos loved it.

While we were there, Carter turned 4 years old! They had a BBQ birthday party and the color theme was green since it is Carter's favorite. Pretty much everyone participated in wearing green and it was cute to see all of it. There was even a green money pinata. It was so fun to meet some of their friends and see some of the Boswell family in Arizona. Happy Birthday Carter!

We ate out a lot with different friends and family. We even got to go to Cafe Rio with Debbie and her girls. Kam arrived into town with her girls on Thursday so we made the trek to Chipotle with 7 kids ages 6 and under! I'm glad we got to see them and the Smiths. Here is a picture of Chloe, Ellie, and Ava together.

More adventures to come this week and next with lots of visitors for Spring Break!

At The Station

Today we found ourselves right near the train station. Ava loved watching the trains go by.
She has such a big personality and we love trying to capture it so
of course we ended up having a little photo shoot.

Total Recall 2009

Today we went to Fullerton for the Tax Revolt 2009 that was organized by Eric's favorite radio talk show hosts, John and Ken. We were impressed at how many people came out to support...15,000 were said to be in attendance. There was even car traffic backed up onto the freeway. California recently passed legislation that resulted in huge tax increases. We already have some of the highest sales, income, and car tax rates in the nation. Our governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, was elected on his relentless promising of no tax increases. So, one of the main purposes of the rally was to start the recall process of our "Governator". Here are a few pictures from the rally.
